Filmmakers Academy is a summer course designed to introduce aspiring youth to the basics of Christian film production. NEW!! The 2012 Filmmakers Academy will be held as a week-long intensive. Participants will gain hands-on experience and training as they work together to produce their own film short in class. Each student will have the chance to specialize in a particular department as they learn the much needed skill of striving for excellence while working as a team. The teachers will personally coach them through the process of organizing and excelling at their job while giving them inside tips from the professionals. Filmmakers Academy is dedicated to using the powerful medium of film to bring glory to God through excellence and enthusiasm.
Through the unique hands-on learning techniques of this course, students will learn and experience:
- Genres and Creative Storytelling
- Auditions and Acting
- Lighting Techniques and Cinematography
- Production Papers – How to Organize Your Film Shoot.
- The Cutting Edge – Editing Your Movie
- Production Design – Locations, Costumes, Props and more!
Date: June 11th -15th, Monday through Friday, 9:00am – 3:30pm - Graduation and Premiere on Saturday, June 16th.
